Canterbury Court
The last of our 2007 babies, Patina was well
worth the wait. Correct conformation,
black color, lots of spring in her step and
almost enough flash to be a paint. Patina
is a great hunter/jumper prospect and looks to
have enough movement for dressage as
well. Patina was orphaned at 6 weeks
when her mother died from colic. Patina
was adopted by Cartier and her
daughter Prada and was nursed and
sistered as their own. As she was
presented for inspection only 9 days after
being orphaned she still showed signs of
being depressed from her loss. She
earned very favorable comments about
her movement  and conformation but did
not show enough sparkle to receive a
First Premium.

As Patina has grown she has become a delight.
She is both curious and responsive to humans,
loves to be groomed and handled and is
maturing into an elegant horse. We think she
has a brilliant future as a hunter, jumper, or
broodmare. She has just entered training in July
of 2010. On her first day she accepted a bridle
and saddle and lunged walk, trot and canter in
both directions. That kind of trainability is hard
to find and beat. It is what we have come to
expect from both Presidio and from Patina's
damline. Please check out Tina's website to find
out more.
